I am so glad you are here! I am the Founder and Head Coach of Middle of the Pack Coaching- a place for all runners who want to begin their running journey.
My running journey started as an adult. I was not an athletic kid-hated running or anything that involved me getting out of breath or sweaty. It was not until college that I decided to give running a try. I had just ended a horrible relationship and wanted to do something-ANYTHING to get my mind off of all of the changes that come along with big life transitions.
A friend of mine was running the Baltimore Marathon in 2009 and I was inspired by her. So, I bought Hal Higdon's book about Half Marathon training (because there was no way I was running a FULL marathon) and signed up for the Baltimore Half Marathon in 2010. I went couch to Half Marathon in 6 months. The rest is history. Since then, I have run every distance from 5K-Full Marathon and now include heavy lifting into my training routine to help with injury prevention, power, and speed.
I have made mistakes along the way, have had countless running injuries, have HATED running, and have fallen in love with it all over again.
